Stanley J. Waters, M.D., Ph.D.
Stanley Waters, is an Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in Adult Orthopaedics; Arthroscopy of the Shoulder, Knee and Ankle; Sports Medicine; Musculoskeletal Trauma and Fracture Care and Reconstructive Computer Assisted Joint Surgery. He earned his M.D. and Ph.D. at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. He completed his Orthopaedic Residency in Boston at the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Program at Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham Women's Hospital and Children's Hospital.
He is a practicing orthopaedic surgeon in Boise, Idaho since 1993 first as Ada Orthopaedics until opening his private practice, Americana Orthopaedics in 2002. Dr. Waters is an active member of the American Medical Association, Massachusetts Medical Society, Idaho Orthopaedic Society, and the Idaho Medical Association. He is certified in Advance Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support. In 1996 he was awarded the Idaho Emergency Physicians Consultant of the Year Award and the Robert L. Miller, M.D. Memorial Award.
Dr. Waters resides in Eagle, Idaho with his 4 children where he enjoys an active lifestyle of skiing, biking, swimming and equestrian activities.
